I'm Finally Free
Sitting here by the fire place
Staring blankly into space
Struggling to write these words down
you made me a fool, talk of the town
Walking past the crowds trying to ignore their stare
trying the best I can to hide all of my despair
I thought I knew you, I thought you cared.
I can hardly stand all this pain I’ve bared
You people don’t know me anyway
But, nevertheless you judge me everyday
I’ll make peace with this town
peace with all of you trying to bring me down
I can hear the pitter-patter of the rain outside.
I thought you said together forever side by side.
But, now It’s over and its time for me to move on.
It’s time for me to get used to the changes I’ve forgone.
So I’m packing my bags and I’m heading out
I’ll do fine without you no doubt
I’m finally gone It’s so nice to be free
Now I’m finally free to be me oh what glee.
The sun is out there’s no more rain
I’m so happy I can’t explain.
I’m so happy I left and I hope I never see you
Now remember this, I don’t need you to cling to.
